Music Ministry

"Worship the Lord with gladnes; come before him with joyful songs"  Psalm 100:2

The purpose of the Music Minitry is to provide music for worship that offers praise and honor to our Lord Jesus Christ and that edifies the body of Christ

Chancel Choir
- The Chancel Choir rehearses weekly from 7:30 -9:00 on Wednesday evenings in the Choir Room. The Chancel Choir leads the 8:45 and 11:00 Worship Services weekly and also presents major musicals at Christmas and Easter. Auditions are not required; however, it is necessary to have a good ear for music in order to participate.

Celebration Orchestra - The Celebration Orchestra rehearses monthly on Sunday afternoon one week prior to performance Sunday. Woodwind and Brass Ensembles are also featured occaisionally for worship services. Any player with good high school or college experience is qualified to join. Advanced middle school students may also qualify. each musician must furnish his or her own instrument, but all music is provided.

Joyful Bells - This handbell choir rehearses at 6:30 on Wednesday evenings. Youth and adults are eligible to particiopate; however, it is necessary to read music in order to qualify. The bells lead in worship on a regular basis and also perform at community events.

Praise Connection - Praise Connection is the only elective offered for elementary school children on Wednesday evenings during the school year, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. It is an hour filled with music, devotionals, Bible challenges and games. There are three age groups: Praise Kids (four-year-old - Kindergarten), Praise Friends (1st - 2nd grades), and Praise Makers (3rd - 5th grades). Each group sings periodically during a worship service, and they give special musical performances in December and April.
