Middle School Ministry
“For in Him we live, and move,
and have our being.” (Acts 17:28)
The purpose of the Middle School Ministry is “helping students relate their daily thoughts, emotions, and decisions to the God who is at work to transform their lives.”- adapted from Rick Dunn.

ON SUNDAYS
Sunday School (9:45 – 10:45 a.m.) – Our atmosphere on Sunday mornings before worship is to come together as a large group to fellowship, eat donuts, and play games before we split into two groups (a guys class and a girls class) to learn biblical principles taught by dedicated teachers who love students! Check us out in the D-100 Hall.
Supper and Small Groups (5:30 – 7:00 p.m.) – Come out and eat a $2.00 supper in the Grand Hall and head to a small group where you can be known as you pursue knowing God better. Check us out on the D-100 Hall.
ON WEDNESDAYS
Connect (6:30 – 7:30 p.m.) – This is our large group environment. We meet and greet and then each grade is divided to rotate through different stations (teaching, recreation, prayer emphasis). High energy and lots to do and learn.
BIG EVENTS
FALL
Mud Bowl – This is a time for our Middle School and High School Students to play games in a giant pit of MUD. We encourage students to bring their friends and spend the afternoon with us as we cook out, swim, and play games!
Cove Camp Fall Retreat – This is a time for our students to get away in the mountains of North Carolina to spend time learning more about the Lord and each other. Worship. Teaching. Games. Hot chocolate. Adventure ball. Cabins. You don’t want to miss this!
WINTER
Christmas Party – Each year we have a Christmas party where we exchange presents and do a service project to focus on the true meaning of Christmas.
180 Weekend – This “in-house” event is a great time for our Middle School and High School students. We bring a speaker and a band to experience times of worship and teaching. Each grade and gender spends the night at church member “host homes” and we also participate in service projects on Saturday!
SPRING
Dare 2 Share Evangelism Conference – Learning to share your faith has never been so awesome! Students receive training and encouragement and even get a chance to put their witnessing tools into practice.
Spring Break – Each year we try to set up a few in-town events for students to participate in during Spring Break
SUMMER
Rise Up – This is a special track for rising 6th graders during the week of VBS. Each day, we take students off-site to swim, bowl, skate, etc. to help students transition into the Middle School Ministry.
Summer Camp – Each summer we take a trip to a week long summer camp for fun and fellowship and a chance to get away and hear from God.
Mission Week – Each summer, we choose a different project for students to be involved in where we give back to the community and serve the needy.
